Info
Your roof serves as the front line of defense for your home. While often the most neglected and forgotten about piece of your home until a leak springs, it is truly one of the most important parts to your house! It keeps your family and belongings dry from the elements!
There tends to be a few reasons that you may be considering hiring a roofing contractor, or having a free roof inspection for your home:
Your roof faces the elements year after year. Whether it endures hailstorms, windstorms, gusting hurricane winds, blizzards, or ice dams, your roof never takes a day off. As your roof ages, hail and wind can start to wear down your roof, which impacts its ability to serve its primary function: shedding water away from your home. It is important to have your roof inspected quickly after a storm as the longer it is pushed off, the more expensive long-term repairs can become. What starts as a small leak can quickly exacerbate as your roof faces future wind storms and direct UV rays.
Missing shingles? Curling or broken shingles? Hail indents evident on your roof or gutters or siding? Water spots developing on your ceiling or experiencing leaks after a storm? It may be a good idea for a roof inspection from licensed professionals!
Unfortunately, not every roof is properly installed to manufacturer guidelines or code by every roofing contractor. As such, an improperly installed roof may lead to swift roof failure in just a matter of a few short years – well short of it’s expected life expectancy. This may be evident if your roof starts leaking shortly after being replaced, or water-spots begin developing. Improper installation could be a sign of the workmanship, or potentially defective materials. Other times, a leaky roof may just be a symptom of a minor problem, such as flashing or water leaking through your skylight.
As much as we wish roofs would last forever, the reality is that they only have a limited lifespan. A shingles asphalt roof may last 15-20 years, while a metal roof may last for 40 years or longer! If you have an aging roof, particularly if it has endured numerous storms over its lifespan, it may be time to have your roof replaced. Patch up repairs tend to be risky on aging roofs as it could do more harm, and hold-up for only a short period. As such, repairs can become more costly versus having an older roof replaced.
Your roof helps add to the curb appeal of your home. A new roof can increase your home’s curb appeal and selling value, which can make it a good idea to have your roof replaced prior to listing. On the other hand, you may be purchasing a new home, and as part of the negotiation process, you agreed to replace the roof on your own after purchase. Or, perhaps you aren’t sure how old the roof is on a new home that you purchased. We can help put on a brand-new roof for your home that will last for years!

How do I know if my roof needs to be replaced?
The simplest answer is, it "depends" on many factors. One of the most prominent factors is the age of your roof. If your roof is 18 years old, it could very likely be nearing the end of its lifespan, whereas a 3 year old roof may simply have a minor issue. If you have an aging roofing, as well as leaks, missing or curling or lifted shingles, shingle granules in your gutters, ceiling spots and similar problems, it may be indicating that it is time for a roof replacement instead of patchwork repairs.
If my roof is leaking does that mean I need a full roof replacement?
This "depends" on several factors. A leaking roof does not necessarily have to be replaced. For instance, if your roof is 5 years old and starting to leak, it could be a sign of improper roof installation - or something more minor, a few bad shingles. In some cases, repairs can be made to extend the life of a roof for several more years. However, if you have an aging roof showing signs of wear and tear, and potentially storm damage over its lifespan, you may need a full roof replacement. In some cases roof repairs can cause more harm.
What type of roofing material should I use?
The best type of roofing material is not the same for every person or home. The 'right' roof for you depends on several factors, such as your budget, HOA requirements, your home's structure/design, as well as your preference. Different materials offer various advantages and disadvantages. For instance, asphalt shingles are one of the most inexpensive roofing materials, but it may last only 20 years. A metal roof can be more expensive than a shingle roof upfront, but require less long-term maintenance, and provide for a longer lifecycle, double or triple the life of a shingles roof!
How can I tell if I have storm damage to my roof?
Most storm damage can be difficult to detect to the untrained eye. It is best to have a roofing professional examine your roof for signs of wind or hail damage, and safer than climbing onto your roof yourself. You may see obvious signs of storm damage with missing shingles, or hail indents on your siding/gutter or shingles.
How long does a full roof replacement take?
In many cases, we can complete most residential roof replacements in as little as a single day!
Will my home be a complete mess after my roof replacement?
Absolutely not! We take numerous measures to leave your home exactly as we found it! After we complete the job, we will conduct an extremely thorough clean-up to ensure all debris and nails are picked up. We will request a walk-through to ensure you approve final work-site cleanliness and are satisfied with the completion of the job!
